They’re lashing out like petulant children because their hero does it and life hasn’t magically improved for them because…libs!!! The OP is a microcosm of Trump supporters. Angry older white people who’s standard of living as slipped as white privilege has slipped and now, rather than work harder, they’re lashing out looking at others to blame.
The press who represents and expresses hatred daily for the presidency based on the unfounded dossiers, and is unwilling to report on the positive growth from Trump’s policies…Yes.
As usual, the only thing up is corporate revenue. That doesn’t make anything better for anyone if they then proceed to simply disperse that increase amongst upper management.
Keep doing what he is doing, continually spotlighting the positive growth and security from new policies, and publicly shaming them for their destructive lies.
You will notice I said nothing about the “economy”, as you stated.
I pointed to wages for the average worker. They are down. The consumer price index is up as well. Those two things together mean that for the average family, they are making less money to spend on more expensive goods and services.
The economy, which should really read the DOW, is indeed up. Unfortunately, as people have been repeatedly told, that doesn’t mean ■■■■ for the average family.
It wasn’t the wrong answer…it was the answer to the question that SHOULD be being asked, not the one you made up in your head.
Nice try, everyone is doing better financially. More entry level jobs are being filled thus giving the illusion of lower wages. That will change quickly as the workforce grows. Pull your head out.
I remember when entry level jobs were going up under Obama that we were told they weren’t real jobs.
Now, all of a sudden, they simply give the impression of lower wages, not the fact of lower wages.
Bottom line is that economists say you are wrong. Wages ARE down, and everyone is NOT doing better no matter how many times you repeat it. All of the financial indicators besides your beloved DOW index say so.
Besides…how is it possible that we are at almost full employment and yet wages are still down? Oh, the answer to that is because businesses are hiring people, sure…but they are doing so at below market wages. That’s how.
In the world I am from businesses are opening and more people are working now than for the last decade.
From reading your posts it appears you may have never owned a business. Am I right?
Seems to me you are missing a key component of the discussion.
Explain for the class how it is possible for more businesses to be opening, more people to be working, the stock market to be soaring, and wages for the average worker to be down all at the same time.
I’ll save you the time and explain it for you. Yes, more people are working. So on that front, I admit you might have a case for SOME people to be better off. What you said about EVERYONE being better off, however, simply isn’t correct.
More payroll is being paid out for sure. Unfortunately, those people being paid aren’t making what people were making before. As I have said multiple times, wages are DOWN. The CPI is up. Corporate incomes are way up. Those three things can only happen under one circumstance…the idea of trickle down simply isn’t happening the way that we have been told it would. The tax cuts for the rich aren’t going where we were told they would be.
My not owning a business doesn’t negate any of what I said. It doesn’t make you a wonderful person to open a business and then not pay your employees a wage commensurate with at least inflation, and I believe you damned well know it.
So you admit that he didn’t say what you claim he said. That means that your post, and everything after it is a lie and not worth addressing.
Further, you started a chain of other people running with the lie you so casually threw out there and have made all of their posts just as worthless as yours.
