This was a weaponized prosecution. The developer in question is a major donor to DeSantis. And they invented a sham perjury charge to get rid of him and another commissioner who were trying to roll back a tax and make the developer pay for their own development.
Glad his name is cleared and he can run for office again. Sumter County should be required to pay him the balance of his commissioner’s salary that he was wrongfully deprived of.
