I watched the live NBC broadcast a few years ago.

I actually saw the original in New York when it first came out (Catholic school class trip)

I thought the NBC live version was excellent.

John Legend certainly did justice to the part of Jesus.

Brandon Dixon (Hamilton) was spectacular as Judas.

They even managed to get Alice Cooper in there as Pilate

NBC will be airing it again on Easter Sunday evening 7:00pm eastern.

Great. I remember the movie. I really liked the Roman soldiers with machine guns and chrome helmets.

Never saw that version. It was made in 1973.
