Trump told people that they weren’t going to have a country anymore and that it was being stolen from them.
That is more than simply challenging an election.

I should have been more specific - domestic terrorists.
They were trying to stop certification of the electoral college and seize power in an election they lost. Thats about as authoritarian as it gets lol
