How about deploying a Division of Mechanized Infantry along the hot spots where the invaders are crossing?

That’s a very subjective statement and exceptionally broad. The purpose asylum was and is just intended for very specific groups of people for very specific reasons:
Refugee status or asylum may be granted to people who have been persecuted or fear they will be persecuted on account of race, religion, nationality, and/or membership in a particular social group or political opinion.
The reality is that the overwhelming majority of the people showing up at the border do not fit the legal definition of asylum, and the Biden Administration knows that.
