Gantz received the support of 61 Members of the incoming Knesset and will formally receive the Mandate to form a new government when the new Knesset convenes and is sworn in on Monday.
Gantz received the support of all 15 Members of the Joint List as well as the support of Avigdor Lieberman.
It will still be a difficult struggle for Gantz to actually form a government, but he is expected to be able to successful oust the current Likud Speaker of the Knesset and replace him with a Member of Blue and White, giving Blue and White control of the legislative process.
And if Gantz fails, it is pretty much impossible for Netanyahu to form a government.
