Isn't aiding and abetting criminals a crime?

it seems that a bunch of sanctuary cities are trying to hide illegal aliens to prevent Trump from deporting the criminals… not only are they protecting the illegal alien criminals that were expelled from other countries’ prisons, but they are protecting the criminals whose “only” crime is illegally crossing the border…

I thought aiding and abetting criminals was a crime in itself…

The criminal thugs and gang members cannot hide. They will be found and removed.

The rest? I am not expecting much. Sadly they will be treated like second class noncitizens no matter who is in power.

The Reps have 2 years to pass laws on improving the legal process and offering the motivated a chance to stay and become citizens.

Wall first.,.Treat the line jumpers kindly while moving them to the back of the line. Expedite or simply grant those in the legal process citizenship first. Remain hyper vigilent on terror and violent agents from hostile lands.

Best I can do. Trump plan is more about self deporting.

  1. Go after the illegals who’ve committed crimes
  2. Go after the illegals who were given deportation orders
  3. Go after the illegals who never showed up in court
  4. Immediately deport those who do show up in court and are denied asylum
  5. Let others see what is going on and hope they self-deport

^^^^^^^^ the Readers Digest Condensed version of the truth about sanctuary cities ^^^^^^^^

All of those work for me.

:sunglasses:

oh the irony…

I suppose it is more desirable that some perpetrators of crime are apprehended…

we did just hire 70,000 IRS agents didn’t we?

What is ironic about what I posted?

go after the illegals who’ve committed crimes

doesn’t illegal imply (if not outright mean) law breaker or criminal?

Colloquially, discussions usually separate the initial crime of illegal entry from subsequent crimes committed after that one.

I would focus all of my man power on cleaning up red states first. Let the libs suffer a little longer. There were millions of invaders sent to red states. Help the people who want help first. Then go blue.

  1. Title 8, U.S.C. 1324(a) Offenses

“Harboring – Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii) makes it an offense for any person who – knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.”
The Penalty?
"With regard to violations of 8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(ii)-(iv) and (v)(ii), domestic transportation, harboring, encouraging/inducing, or aiding/abetting, the basic statutory maximum term of imprisonment is 5 years, unless the offense was committed for commercial advantage or private financial gain, in which case the maximum term of imprisonment is 10 years. "
and just for kicks
“Conspiracy/Aiding or Abetting – Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(v) expressly makes it an offense to engage in a conspiracy to commit or aid or abet the commission of the foregoing offenses.”

Trump needs to instruct the Justice Department to start enforcing this federal law. Gov of a state is trying to hid people that need to be deported. Arrest them and charge them. Mayor or Council members tried to hid those needing deported or work to stop it. Arrest and charge.
