Is the US an oligarchy?

A new law could be passed, reigning in the influence of money in politics…
But it too could get struck down, by a conservative SCOTUS.

But it would take years.

Unconstitutional on BS Grounds.

Tillman act.

Sherman Act. Tillman Act.

Sherman Act is still law.

Started in 1978…nail the coffin 2010.

From 1907-1978, not an oligarchy.

I think that 1963 may have been a turning point.

If they got away with killing the president, what else have they been getting away with?

Who is they?

Conclusively answering that question would require release of documents that are still classified after 60 years, but a logical hypothesis is that agencies who are blocking the release were complicit in the JFK assassination.

Why else would they be so concerned about releasing the information?

Many of the documents remaining are sensitive, NBC News reported. Seventy percent are controlled by the CIA, according to the outlet, and 23% are controlled by the FBI.

The same agencies were involved with all kinds of illegal and unethical programs to attack dissidents during the Vietnam War as was revealed by Congressional investigations in the 1970s. Recent revelations indicate they are up to their old tricks. They appear to be the enforcement wing of the oligarchy.

No…conservative.

Umm no, conservatives are a minority of the GOP. Otherwise they would cut spending and shrink government when they have power.

Was there ever a time there when there were enough conservatives in the Republican party that cut spending and shrank the government?

GOP hasn’t been a conservative party in my lifetime at least not fiscally. Not when it counts at any rate, they put on a good show when in the minority and spend like drunken sailors when they aren’t. Not a GOP fan, they are nothing more than the lesser of two evils.

Got it…

Not a fan of Reagan?

No, California Republican, hardly conservative. He was a pragmatic moderate. Raised taxes eleven times while tripling the deficit.
