I respect that. But people like me are still being labeled as “white supremacists” with zero evidence. This is not merely “childish.” Those are fighting words. Meant to destroy or cancel people who have done nothing wrong. Calling her, “the redhead” is pretty mild compared to what we are expected to take.
I wouldn’t put those in the same category… one is condescending nicknames that tend to not associate the person with an ideology but are more personal, the other is accusing someone of being a supporter of a particular ideology. You’re only a white supremacist if you believe whites are superior to other races, a belief I assume you don’t hold. If someone personally called you a white supremacist then that sucks and they are wrong.
I understand your point, however, there are many ordinary people like Bernadette Lancelin, who I doubt is a “conservative”, have a common sense reaction that we, as Americans, need to start taking care of our own!

I don’t think it is as much as many on the right think it is because the right-wing media is spreading a victim narrative that it is being applied to all white conservatives.
No. Whiff. It’s not a narrative. It’s actually happening. And nearly every day. I have used the term “border surge.” So has Mr. Hannity. According to AOC we are both white supremacists. And does anybody on the left disagree with her? It appears not. No dude. Not a narrative. It’s real and evil. Need more examples?
In fact, one did not have to have the brains of a rocket scientist to know an uncontrollable surge at the border was pending, and Trump’s policies blocked that surge.
Heck, even Biden knew the threat of a million or more rushing our border was very real.

They are giving this more coverage than I expected. They are still not “grilling” anyone over this. But they are not ignoring it either. So I give them a C+.
AOC is one person… and certainly one who can be hyperbolic from time to time. But she also didn’t say you were white supremacists… she said the idea that we are being invaded is a white supremacist idea, philosophy… and thats certainly true. It’s possible to use language associated with an ideology without necessarily being a believer of said ideology. For example people may refer to being “gypped off” without actually being anti-gypsy.
Yes. But inviting the entire third world here might be good for them but it’s horrible for us.
