Is Russia-Ukraine Just a Distraction from All the Damaging Durham Material?

Whether or not there will be a wider war is still up for debate.

But Russia tearing up the Minsk Agreement is not an “overblown” thing.

Indeed it put Russia’s new “ally” China on the spot, forcing it now to walk a tightrope.

Russia won’t be the president in seven days when its monthly term is up.

It’s less important that Russia is the current president than it is Russia having veto power in the UNSC and so therefore the Security Council won’t do anything.

Nice thought that the Ukraine could go Swiss neutral.

Russia is the abusive boyfriend and the Ukraine is the object of its infrequent needs and no PFA will convince Russia to keep its hands off in any way shape or form.

The annex will be done in 7 days and no big battles to be had.

Zelinsky was the better source after all.

Ukraine will always be Russia property.

Ukraine is not Finland or Austria. There’s a bitter history there that makes Ukraine a totally different beast altogether.

What you are proposing would not have worked. And NATO countries cannot be signing treaties giving a non-NATO country essential veto power over who joins them.

There can be unspoken “understanding” but there cannot be an actual treaty saying thus.

You may as well disband NATO if you go down that path…and that would be dumb.

Possible. And still be positioned to pressure the rump state.

No need to beat the Ukraine…she will give it up.

Nobody else cares.

If only we were focused on our own energy production and perfect phone calls.

Brandon made an ass out of himself again and fuel costs are going up more.

You really need to give up this tack…it is not based on any reality.

Literally everyone cares about this.

And Germany just suspended NordStream 2…something I guarantee you would not have occurred without all this happening.

Far from looking “like an ass” currently the West is more united than it has been in quite some time.

And even Russia’s new “friend” China is walking a tightrope.

Nicely highlighting why Biden shouldn’t have green lighted in the first place,

You mean- Biden shouldn’t have green lit something that wasn’t up and running so it wouldn’t be on the table in case Russia did something like this?

And Germany wanted it and would have found a way to get it…which is why this is a huge gamble by Putin.

Without it Russia has to move it’s supply through Ukraine, which is a good argument for them to not break Ukraine.

It wasn’t up and running and so they still have to run their supply through Ukraine…and it doesn’t seem to be stopping them.

Still does. Still will.

They might.

I hear what you are saying about it being 44 degrees and Russia hasn’t shut off the spigot yet.

Wait until the riots start.
