Is it time to arrest state officials who violate 8 U.S. Code § 1324 - harboring

Any State officials who "conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building [which would include a state or local jail] or any means of transportation, would violate 8 U.S.Code § 1324 - harboring.

I’m hopping Tom Horman enforces this law and arrests any state official, and especially Governor Pritzker, who violates the above law mentioned.

California will be interesting… with the move by L.A. to amplify their sanctuary status, perhaps a denial of federal funds to sanctuary law breaking communities would be in order…

See how undemocratic the dems have become! The people spoke and there’s no doubt about why they elected Trump!

It’s only democracy when democrats control it.

That plus the Homan strategy.

He says he will just send in twice as many agents in those places.

Should they (those state officials) be arrested?

Yes.

And here I thought the left were saying they wanted to save democracy, but they just keep proving us all wrong, huh?

All those who’d harbor illegal aliens should remember the lib mantra “we the people” have had to listen to while the weaponized judicial system went after Trump, “no one is above the law”. I’d guess when it’s applied to them, it will be…different.

I think there will be much less appetite for sanctuary cities in Trump’s second term than there was in his first. At first I thought Abbott and DeSantis bussing people to sanctuary cities was just a silly and mean-spirited stunt, but it proved to be really effective. Sanctuary policies probably sound like a good idea to progressives on paper, but the reality of dealing with a huge influx of undocumented people has changed some minds.

influx of illegal entrant foreign nationals.

Between creating a shadow govt and vowing to fight every action of the incoming administration, I don’t know how you could possibly think these people aren’t just full of democracy.

That’s a strategy with which I agree. First, illegals will likely bale out of a state like Texas that will cooperate fully with the federal government. When they pour into Los Angeles and NYC the economic pressure will be on those sanctuary areas. Don’t expect the Trump administration to help bale them out if they choose not to cooperate. And finally, the illegals will be concentrated in a few small areas where it should be easier to collect them.

It would be quite interesting to watch idiots who refer to illegal invaders as “residents” like the mayor of stankuary city Boston marched before a federal judge in handcuffs.

QUESTION

Can a public official be arrested for violating 8 U.S. Code § 1324 - harboring?

Yes. See 8 U.S. Code § 1324 -

(c)Authority to arrest

No officer or person shall have authority to make any arrests for a violation of any provision of this section except officers and employees of the Service designated by the Attorney General, either individually or as a member of a class, and all other officers whose duty it is to enforce criminal laws.

Thomas Homan is a no-nonsense appointee. Engage in violations of 8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Harboring, and you will be having tea and baloney sandwiches for dinner, compliments of your own jail.
