Is Alberta and Several Other Canadian States Going to Join the US?

Don’t know about the others…Alberta might…then again, all of them just may…

Myself I think they will up their economy, higher paying and more jobs, lower taxes and regulations, and just imagine the unimpeded traffic, trucking, etc., from the lower states to Alaska… I think Alaska will prosper as well.

Lol no :joy:

If, and its a big if, Alberta does secede from Canada, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will follow. BC and Yukon are less likely in the near term and we likely don’t want Quebec.

Yea they will secede and create a new country called Cascadia (there an actual movement and it’s all based on science fiction)

Because that’s how the world works. Countries just break apart and create new countries.

Based on what? Just because!

There is no viable sessionist movement in Canada. It’s all fever dreams based on something a politician said to try to force their fed government to do what it wants

Can one of the secessionist fever, dreamers speculate on what happens to the political parties that currently exist in Alberta and the other provinces that wished to join us? Will they keep their current political parties or will they be forced to choose between Democrats and Republicans?

I would certainly welcome it.

lol. fever dreams.

we have a category for those.

Allan

saskatchawan has already started, just not as far along as alberta. they have the same problem with canada that alberta does. for manatoba it will be much more beneficial to follow alberta than ontario.

just like here, they can have any political parties they want

that is false. Thy not only have the signatures required to get it on the ballot (easily) but about 40% support in polls.

Yes those submitted signatures! So much starting. It’s nonsense.

People support all kinds of nonsense in polls.

Movement and polls aren’t the same thing

There is no viable movement in cabanas to cecede

because you said so?

how about Canadian news?

They take it seriously. It is a movement, like all movements it does not yet have majority support. But it is growing.

No not because i said so. There are always people who will support separation from the federal government.

You can poll Texas and see that the number of people who support cessation is high. Those not signs of a movement

gathering signatures, getting it on the ballot, holding rallies, the most prominent politicians in Alberta backing it…

LOL, no movement.

Alberta separation was in the spotlight at a Monday night independence rally in Calgary’s Stampede Park, where thousands packed the Big Four Roadhouse to hear from separatist speakers.Security officials said more than 3,000 people were in attendance, along with more than 1,000 watching a livestream of the event on YouTube.

3000 people!! Ok fine there is a movement. I’ll take it back …..

3000 people in the middle of a freezing winter in Canada in a province with a very low population density.

Its in its infancy, but it is a movement. The government of Alberta has already defied Ottawa making their own trade deals and basically telling Ottowa to pound sand.

from AI

Secessionist Movements: Alberta’s government is using the “Sovereignty Act” to challenge federal actions, with growing, though minority, support for independence, potentially impacting western Canadian unity.

It is Alberta’s political class giving it fuel including the Governor (premier)
