Especially since the payments are directed towards government workers who obviously have jobs and yet will have other workers, who may make less, pay for their schooling.

Life is never 100% fair. Its always a challenge and balance. But you have to start somewhere and many times its a choice between a bad choice and a worse choice.
I believe it was termed throwing gold overboard (or something to that effect).

That doesn’t explain why Trump supports eliminating it.
Here’s a couple of other questions related to this:
- How much of that was COVID spending (which the Dems supported)?
- How much of that was the result of the economy shutting down (which Dems supported) resulting in loss of revenue?
Once the numbers are added up Harris/Biden will have out spent Trump, and that’s with COVID being largely out of the way and no economic shutdown because of COVID.

If you are not trying to play dumb partisan games what matters is how much was added or subtracted from the deficit since the president came into office.
A good leader would not have blown up the economy and debt over the sniffles, trump was in charge and attacked massie relentlessly over question trumps stupid waste.
