By early/mid 3rd quarter we should be at or very near where we were in January and by the end of the quarter/early 4th back above Q4 2019.
We can’t afford to keep the country in shutdown mode and Americans are just not going to put up with months of quarantine/containment with all “non essential” people bottled up in their homes especially coming out of winter.
“Could Be”, we’ll see but we’ve already flattened the curve in most of the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere rarely seems to suffer as badly from seasonal respiratory viruses so we shouldn’t see anywhere near the damages in it that we’ve had.
So much of the population of the Southern Hemisphere is located in the tropics or sub tropical regions hard, cold winters don’t tend to hit them like they do us.
So what metrics do you use to claim success at the end of the 3rd quarter? GDP dollar amount? Third quarter numbers come out right before the election. My annoyance may come from early/mid ■■■■■■■■■ Early/mid quarter lines don’t exist, And 4th quarter 2020 GDP will be greater than 4th quarter 2019?
The same metrics we’ve been talking about forever, UE, Oil Prices, Stock Markets, and Monthly GDP numbers. The same metrics by which we always measure the economy.

We can get a specific number for UE, we can get a specific number for The Dow and for Oil prices but they won’t be done revising the first quarter data for another 3-4 weeks.
