Untapped reserves still in the ground are not the same as our strategic reserves as they are not readily available for refinement. We would have to drill, pump and transport which would take months. In time of war or national emergency that could spell disaster.

If gas was $10 gal. and Chinese troops were marching down Pennsylvania Avenue, Democrats would still find a way to support Biden. The term ‘myrmidon’ comes to mind.
