If you're really not a troll and genuinely believe that the Democrats have the key to a better America for ALL, provide the facts and evidence that they and their policies have what it takes to achieve that

I’ve had mortgage debt that significantly exceeded my personal GDP, and yet somehow got along fine. How is this different?

Are you serious?

What’s incredible is that with the US not engaged in any wars, no recession, and what some have described as a very good economy the Harris/Biden administration will have averaged deficits of 2 trillion dollars per year (link from OP):

the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has projected a deficit of $1.582 trillion. Add those two figures together and you get $7.902 trillion as Biden’s four-year total.

And if it weren’t for Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema the spending would have been substantially higher.

I couldn’t believe Harris bragged about it on her debate…congrats libs. You’re now the party of Dick Cheney and John Bolton.

That’s all fine. I may disagree with you as long as you’re not imposing yourself on me…and vice versa.

Sadly some people think that in itself is imposing my views onto others to justify their own authoritarianism.

We said they’d be the party of war before they were ever elected, now they’re embracing Dick Cheney of all people. Peak mental (D)isease.

Kamala certainly won’t save us. And neither will Trump.

This ship is like the Japanese cruiser Mogami from WWII. We turned on our searchlight and the US navy lit us the ■■■■ up with a ton of shells and torpedos. This ship is FUBAR at this point.

I pretty much agree, although there are some here who do believe that if the Dems get complete control they will implement policies that will make things better for everyone except those who are already rich.

 Check this out.

no measure?

stock market is Wayyyyy up and unemployment is down and inflation is under control.

there are obvious measures that people have it better than 4 years ago.

Here’s something that often comes up in this discussion:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/taxes/were-high-income-americans-really-paying-91-income-tax-in-the-1950s/ar-BB1pPrgb?ocid=msedgntp&pc=LCTS&cvid=c633b792758a41babbfe3b32f7e7ae8d&ei=67

The idea that high-income Americans in the 1950s paid significantly more taxes is largely a myth. While the top marginal tax rate was 91%, the effective tax rate — the actual percentage of income paid in taxes — was much lower due to deductions and tax shelters.

Let’s tax all income the same, and eliminate most deductions and loop holes.

Again, Al your reading comprehension is lacking. The key word is OVERALL. Also factor in the 10 million or so impoverished migrants - including murderers, rapists, criminals, gang members, etc.- collecting various forms of government assistance and harming communities.

You want a flat tax?

That’s not the argument you think it was. If the effective rate was in fact much smaller then your point would support bringing it back

which is vague. my net worth has increased substantially under biden.
i have a job, my wages are up, my standard of living is up.

Allan

maybe @Gaius

can us a full explanation of net worth exploding under biden.

Allan

No. I want a progressive bracket system but all income treated the same.

So wages, cap gains, interest, dividends, ertc…all taxed under the same rates.
