If NATO membership for Ukraine was a known bright red line for Russia, why did Biden promote it?

Not exactly price of gay but still

The Germans used bikes a lot as well.

People tend to forget that the United States Army was the only fully motorized infantry force in World War II from start to finish.

Even at its height in 1942, the Wehrmacht Heer was only about 30% motorized. Most German troops either marched, rode bikes, or were transported by rail.

In fact the US Army’s infantry divisions were so heavily motorized that many German conscripts believed that every GI received a Jeep at the end of their basic training. US soldiers rarely had to march anywhere; it was typically done just for parades. There was always a huge number of transport trucks ready to take them to their next engagement zone.

It was a huge advantage for the US and her Allies, since we helped the British and Soviets mostly motorize as well. The USSR infantry units started the war in 1941 in a similar state to most German infantry units. During the great retreat in Barbarossa, most Russian soldiers were walking backwards towards defensible positions. By the summer of 1944 thanks to Lend Lease the majority of the USSR’s soldiers were riding everywhere. It was the first time most of them had ridden in a wheeled vehicle in their lives.

Because of copious number of Soviet war movies i can only picture Germans riding in a motorcycle with a side car

I remember on the game “Company of Heroes” the German scout unit was two panzer grenadiers on a motorcycle with a side car. When they got destroyed the motorcycle would flip on its side and catch on fire.

When you played the American side you got two dudes in a Jeep.

Man I miss that game. It wasn’t quite StarCraft, but it’s in my top 5 RTS games ever.

I usually played the Wehrmacht in multiplayer. They were a little more complicated to play (their infantry in the open sucked since every American player would call in a P47 strafe run the second they saw them; goodbye all those expensive Panzer Grenadiers) but once you had the resources to deploy Panthers and Tigers it went out of control really fast.

Yeah StarCraft is still the game to beat. Both 1 and 2

What is the difference between Sherman’s march to the sea and Putin’s March through Ukraine?

Are we tearing down Sherman statues and cancelling General Sherman?

Have we cancelled Truman for dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, murdering innocent women and children?

They did not have Hummers

They were supposedly terrifying sometimes road without tires on their metal rims producing a sound of multiple tanks.

I was not there did not see it.

So you feel Putin is right to do this like Truman was huh?

Yes, the Nazis made propaganda films mocking other countries for still using horses while they were really in the process of stealing every horse in continental Europe to move their armies.

I was not wanting to make this a Putin thing because I do not support him. Mr Lucchese I have been to war, I know it is hell. I oppose war, I oppose genocide, I oppose nuke. And I oppose Monday morning quarterbacks. Woof woof.

It is unlikely you would know a Nazi if you tripped over one. :joy::joy:

Knock it off Mr Lucchese. Go grab a Starbucks ice latte.

Not actually, Nagasaki and Hiroshima was a ■■■■■■■ mistake by a goofball who was allowed to do it. Woke left should cancel him and rip out any of his statutes…

I am now opposed to nukes, war, and genocide. I also am opposed to infanticide,.

People are kind of ■■■■■■ up.

You the one who brought it up and talking about StarCraft games. This Ukraine problem ain’t no ■■■■■■■ game.

You and your bro were coking and joking about games and Hiroshima and nukes. Then the bro acts all innocent.

If this was not serious it would be laughable.

Need nukes. The other 2 I agree on.

Experts? Should experts decide the foreign policy of the US?

Shouldn’t Ukraine decide their own foreign policy?
