If I remember right and I’m not sure where I read it but after several Presidential calls got leaked to the press they changed things up so not as many people had access to the information. All in the name of security because there were too many partisans in govenment that were willing to leak information to bring about their goal of getting rid of Trump.
McConnell could have gotten rid of the phillibuster and passed anything that he wanted.
Basically they got a tax bill through that has expanded the deficit to be a trillion a year when it was steadlily tacking downward. So ,… Yay?
Right now McConnel is blocking nearly every bill sent to hum from the House. Not even letting them hit the floor.

You did not take Reed to task and say he was wrong for doing what he did. That he should have brought those house passed bills up for a vote. No that was fine with you. You even went as far as trying to be a victim and saying well Reed did do it but not much as if that is some kind of excuse.

And I have believed for several years now that the GOP senate should get rid of the phillibuster if for no other reason than the next time the left get control over the senate they are going to pull the trigger and get rid of it. The left did it for judicial nominees so turn about was fair play so the right did it for SC nominees. The next thing is everything is going to be passed by majority vote in the senate and since the GOP was too chicken to do it the next leftist controlled senate will be sure to do it and the GOP will cry foul.
How far we have fallen that the minority is going to get overrun by the majority. Not much like the founders envisioned is it. And I am beginning to believe that this is what is going to bring the United States to it’s knees.
Is that why the new legal team had spent 10 months investigating it before letting it go?
I think that the philibuster should stay.

I don’t remember the libs promising to illegally ask foreign powers to aid in personal political campaigns, use non-government personal lawyers and the attorney general as point men, hide telephone conversations on top secret computer servers, and then threaten whistleblowers with death, but hey…you definitely have that!
