Yes. All criminals should get due process as allowed by our Constitution. I am in the fortunate position to not care about what party with which they are affiliated. How about you?
I just saw a picture of those arrested for the attack in Alvarado. Not surprisingly, these were not a gang of Hispanics who had an interest in avoiding deportation but a bunch of very white young people, perhaps college age.
I wonder if they realize the difference between a state judge in a sanctuary city in a blue state and a federal jury selected in Texas. If not they may have a surprise.
How can they be race neutral when 80-90% or higher (depending on the area of the country) of the illegals are Hispanic? Even if every tenth person detained was some other race or ethnicity, the arrests would still be overwhelming of Hispanics.
Sounds pretty much like what Canada used to do regarding Americans who had a drunk driving conviction on their record.
“In 2004 and 2007, Landry faced charges of marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license, but he says he’s had no criminal record since then.”
Canada would probably still be doing that if the US State Department had not forced them to expunge their data base on US drivers.
