Championing a presidents use of executive orders (53 in less than a month) and other mechanisms to expand powers, ignore checks and balances, force social and religious policy into government affairs and even blatantly defy the constitution is expected. Restricting communication from government agencies and news outlets is expected. Hampering the ability of the federal government to respond and prevent disease and disaster in the name of “small government” is expected. Applauding the actions of an unelected, non-appointed private individual given access to protected personal data is at least a little surprising.
All the same playbook. All which has been seen before.
