No one is letting Pence take the reins…really…who is going to stop the constitution and those in congress who can make it happen. I hate Pence…but I think he is far more fit to run the country than Trump. I’m from Indiana, I know what he did here…and that was nothing. He took over a massive surplus from Daniels…and managed not to blow it. That is all. But still I’ll start calling him 46 and just get that whole ball of wax started.
But what would Pence have to gain from getting rid of Trump?

Wrongfully apparently. Pence is the unabomber.
I suppose time will tell. But it seems rather preposterous that one would risk so much by revealing who they are to the NYT’s staff, requiring confirmation from their highest levels before agreeing to publish such an op-ed, praying their secret is maintained by them, all to just “get even” for some perceived slight by the President. It is much more logical that it is actually what they say it is. A group of adults working within the administration to protect the nation from the absolute danger that this man is to us all.
I know you really, really don’t want to believe what most of us have known for a long, long time here. That this man is wholly unqualified and unfit to be President, and you supported him anyway, and are partially responsible for where we all find ourselves today.

Plus, no matter who the President is, if congress started a 6 month or year long impeachment thing then CEOs, stockholders and businesses will get nervous about what possible stuff they’ll uncover about Trump’s dirty deals that could rock their sector.
If Pence takes over it will be after a long period of chaos.
