Attacking the source?

What specifically is wrong in the video?

I haven’t watched it. Yes, attacking the “source”. And you for posting it.

Control for cognitive ability and see what happens to that BS.

Of course not. I understand.

I don’t even have to watch the video to know it’s pushing Lib stupidity.

There is no barrier to personal success that hasn’t been broken in America. Oprah Winfrey is a black woman who was born in the south during the time of segregation and systemic racism, raised in poverty, suffered sexual abuse, had a child out of wedlock at age 14… Virtually every impediment to success you list she overcame to become a billionaire.

There are countless examples of others who have become successful under the same circumstances.

Where do you guys get this nonsense?

So people raised in middle class families with middle class parents tend to do better than those raised by poor parents.
So, once we determine that genetic abilities are not inherited and that people aren’t taught ethics by their parents that will help them succeed, it must be the system.

I watched it. Simply another socialist production, claiming that the individual should be subservient to the collective.

This is becoming a theme…it’s ok…ignore history, and keep believing what you feel is correct, vs reality.

Sure. Oprah is a figment of my imagination.

They could have had a stronger argument in the 1950s. The end of Jim Crowlaws and public accommodation laws ended that.
There may be some race biased people working for corporations and some of them may be white. If so, they should be advised that they needed to take up an ideology of individualism, and not evaluate people based on race or gender.
For the most part, recent indications are that some major corporations and organizations are taking an approach where they believe indoctrination based on race is a plus, thus the recent push back.

This discussion is not how to solve the issue…we would probably disagree on possible solutions.

This is a discussion regarding the myth that all anyone has to do is work hard…and one can succeed and be financially well.

That has never been true… Many more variables effect that outcome.

Out of Many, one… Apparently, that no longer applies.

Well, I never believed that anyone could succeed at anything. Send me to MIT for free for five years and I will not come out a leading physicist, I am pretty sure.
