How pathetic are so many of our youth today?

My response to the claim made in this thread would not change based upon me personally experiencing something like this.

The claim was pure hyperbole, so why should it?

If it’s such a harmless prank, how come I don’t see you volunteering to have your front door caved in?

Can you point to any post I’ve made where I called it a harmless prank?

It’s not just that. Over the past few years, I’ve seen more and more news reporting regarding violent crime often involving people in their teens. In my view this a new phenomenon.

Exactly. A judge blocked the national Guard from helping with Chicago’s violent crime problem. The result? This past weekend 28 people were shot and 6 killed. At least the bloodbath is killing their own blue area residents. While red areas remain safe.

I highlighted from my previous post. It’s an ever-growing problem. We’ve crossed a bridge, and successive generations will continue to accelerate on that path.

(I’ll also add that too many families that still have a father at home are led by amoral liberalism. That doesn’t help either.)

Dude, this crap doesn’t help anything. Each time I’ve seen you post statements like that, it comes back to bite you.

Just saying.

So… Everyone knows this is true. But we’re not allowed to say it? How is commenting on the actual reality gonna bite anyone?

The President is trying to protect libs from killing other libs. If they insist on killing each other, they are allowed to do it and we shouldn’t notice?

The national guard isn’t in the business of crime prevention or fighting.

And it wasn’t a judge. It was the Supreme Court of the United States.

True post…Right?

ICE needs to document the degree of hostility in some locations to their enforcement. If they can show they need protection to do their jobs and local police don’t provide this, they should be allowed means like the national guard. Its been done before, historically, notably during civil rights laws enforcement.
To enforce criminal law in general in cities? I’m not sure I would want that as a Presidential power. Would I want a President Biden to have that authority?

Where does one go to have your door kicked in?

I don’t think any normal person wants to shoot somebody, even in self defense. But that’s the issue here- is it reasonable self defense. Kids do stupid things and always have, but this crosses lines and the benefit of the doubt should go to the home owner. If the fun of the prank is seeing someone come to the door in the middle of the night when no one is there, RING THE DOORBELL and get your jollies from across the street! As far as I’m concerned, a door kick in the middle of the night ( or any other time of day) by a stranger, is an attempted home invasion, especially if they kick more than once, and if the door is actually kicked open, I’m going to shoot first and ask questions later.

Here the reality though. In today’s world, home invasions are a real thing. They don’t just happen in blue cities or states or bad neighborhoods. They don’t just happen in the middle of the night either and often, houses are targeted because the owner is elderly and therefore an easy target. Most home invasions result in harm or death to the homeowner rather than to the invader. I keep a gun in my nightstand by my bed, I probably would have time to grab it if my front door or back door were kicked in, in the middle of the night. but if I’m in my living room, I’m SOL if someone, or worse yet, multiple people decided to kick my door in and do me harm. My living room is only 14 feet across. Depending on circumstances, I might be able to defend myself against an unarmed intruder and chase them away but my wife is frail and not in good health and wouldn’t stand a chance against anyone. Under what circumstances should ANYONE be forced to decide whether that kick on the door is just a harmless prank or an actual home invasion? It’s literally a matter of seconds between the door splintering open and someone being on top of you…

Nothing like this I suppose:
