How much are you willing to spend on a BIg Mac?

20 an hour seems steep for a burger flipper. Not sure what they get here.

If it gets high enough ill grill my own.

I made 3.35 an hour back in 1984. They got 3.35 an hour effort from me. I worked for about two months and went to UPS for 8 an hour. I had to actually quit the minimum wage job. Nothing I did would get me fired because they weren’t paying me anything.

I’ve eaten there a few times when we visited the wife’s family in Cali.

Great food. great company. :+1: :grinning:

Grabbed a burger at in n out last night on the way home from the airport. Same story as chic…people who work there always seem to be nice the food is always good…

My local panda express is funny…oriental food being cooked by Hispanics…which is fine except I went in there last week (my wife loves them) and had to get an interpreter to talk to the lady running the cash register. No Habla English…

I don’t get how that happens but that’s a whole nuther thread.

The national government interferes too readily and too often in state and local affairs. Reason enough to oppose this legislation.

No. Absolutely not.

No….the states are supposed to be the laboratories of democracy and all that.

I think California is more of a Mad Scientist lair than anything else.

Bad ideas are conceived, born, nourished, and nurtured to adulthood on a monthly, weekly, and sometimes daily basis by the idiot leftists in California.

I go to McDonalds now and again, its cheap and easy. Sure I can always make burger and fries myself at home far cheaper but many times i cant be arsed to cook.

I have their app and when I do go I find I can take advantage of some stupidly cheap deal.

If the price went much over $10 I would probably find an alternative.

The cost of living is different.

Dream on :rofl::rofl:

Yes, The last time I had bought two big mac meals it was over 25$. I live in Cal and all the govt wants to do is make it’s people poorer.

And govt forcing higher wages just causes more inflation. And the liberals in Cal have made pork really expensive. Bacon is crazy in price. Pork was once really cheap and thus poor people could afford it. Now it’s crazy, but not as crazy as the cost of beef.

Sadly, the dems vote harvesting corruption males change almost impossible…

Hogwash. If “adults” are working there it’s because they don’t drug test.

Which is why I propose a cost of living formula built into the Federal minimum wage.

Using the Federal pay tables from OPM.

The base salary for a GS-5 at Step 5 (mid career) is $36,673 a year.

The salary of that employee in Huntsville, Alabama is $44,360 a year.

The salary of that employee in San Francisco is $52,864 a year.

A baseline minimum wage could be enacted, adjusted by market and automatically indexed to inflation each year.

The Federal Government ALREADY does this with its own employees pay, so no problem at all in figuring a minimum wage in the same manner.

ATT does that with its union employees.

no fuss, no muss. if you work in texas doing the same job as i do, you get paid less.

people actually transfer to NYC to get the higher rate,

Already too complicated and no value added.

Nobody is doing that.
