Party before country is a real thing for some people. Who cares what a hostile foreign adversary does to us? It helped my team against the “real” enemies, Americans! Yes, just like a bunch of other groups across the globe, a lot of the current crop of Trump supporters also view Americans as their enemy.

It’s kind of like when Trump believed Putin rather than US intelligence sources. Some of his followers appear to be following suit. When people start viewing other Americans as “the enemy” and ignore actual threats, we’re in a dangerous place.

It would have been nice had the focus on the investigation been on foreign actors and how to prevent them from further intrusions but that was never a primary or even secondary concern.
People in our own intel and national security apparatus were trying to unseat him, not the Russians.
We’ve also seen how poor our intel can be particularly on critical issues like preventing foreign hackers from intruding on our elections and WMD’s in Iraq not to mention the rise of ISIS if we’re to believe the Obama Administration.
Absolutely. That massive indictment of all of the Russian GRU and agencies directed at the behest of Putin never happened. It wasn’t even a cursory concern.
If only Mueller had investigated how we were attacked, what was specifically done, who was involved, where they did it from, when it occurred, and why they were doing it. Oh wait…something seems off here.

Mueller was appointed to ensure all future Russian attacks would cease to have even the potential of existing. And to make sure every Russian spy in the US was exposed and expelled. And he was given less than 2 years to complete this task. His mandate was HUGE!!

Trump won’t even acknowledge Russia did anything wrong so I don’t see how Mueller can defend the country when the CiC can’t bring himself to identify the threat.

How did an investigation stop him from making appointments? It did not stop him from campaigning or having the time to validate North Korean dictAtors or spew hate and vitriol on twitter.
I thought Trump did not care what “the swamp” thought of him so how did threats of impeachment stop him from putting in place his own leadership choices.

Russia (and the USSR) has been messing with our elections – and our nation overall – for generations.
Look at the focus of the investigation. Not a single indictment regarding actual Russian collusion or any other such thing. Two years. Subpoenas all over the place. Search warrants. All focused on all other sorts of things. But nothing regarding Russia came of any of it.
And investigations continue along all sorts of other vectors – Dems in Congress. NY State. None of them about Russia.

President Trump is having to wade though the previous corrupt Administrations snake pit! The slow slither of the Democrat socialist snake took 50 decades or more to get this point where Socialism is even being discussed as a possibility and it will take that long to cut off that socialist snakes head.
It took 90 years for the nation to beat down the South and the Democrats over slavery so it could very well take that long to beat down socialist Democrats.
You have way too much trust in government. They are incredibly flawed. Just like everyone else. Which is why we should avoid giving them more power. They are not saints. Is your average bureaucrat more trustworthy than a typical hedge fund manager? If so, why?

You whined incessantly over someone offering a specific definition because you felt it unfair to label someone a Trump sycophant if they happen to support some things he does, while disliking other things about him.
Funny how you wanted people to offer a distinction to you that you refuse to extend to others on the opposite side of the equation. For people like me, who also approve of some things he has done, but dislike a great many others, we are labeled as deranged by you.
