You edited out the path to be taken:
Let us be on guard and make certain that “cash remains king”
My bad. So once again your solution seems to be turning the clock back 100 years or so.

I’m sure you are.
I’m just looking to have a conversation. I’m guessing you have no interest, preferring to recite platitudes instead.
You should know better than to have an honest conversation here.
“Honest” being the operative word!
Ummm, my post was not a “pat on the back” to you…
I know.

City residents who don’t have a debit or credit card or I-phone are told to go pound sand if wanting to park on public property. Of course, government forcing this upon people is blatantly un-constitution and violates 31 U.S. Code § 5103 - what is a “Legal tender” for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues, and that is in addition to discrimination statutes.
In any event see the cashless society Mafia at work:

The bill ought to start a mature discussion concerning forced cashless payments.
Choice is fundamental with this issue.
I personally write 1 paper check a month and I hate writing checks and there is no control as to when the payee cashes them. That system is great for money laundering and other foreign-based workers who are hiding money. I find that some landscape workers are afraid to show money for some reason.

I totally agree, Choice is fundamental with this issue.
I’ll submit this refund check I once received as the ultimate in the stupidity of checks:
I know a guy who wrote a check for less than that. $0.00 dollars. He kept getting a bill for zero dollars even after he called to complain that they should stop sending it, so he finally just wrote them a check and the bills stopped coming.
I’m just going to say again, there is no difference from a privacy standpoint between writing a check and paying via ETF.
Why did you leave out “cash” when expressing differences?
Why did you leave out “cash” when expressing differences?
You can’t pay your taxes with cash.
