But that is exactly my point. They don’t object because they are sheep. They (for the most part) are happy to cede control of their lives to the government.

It doesn’t; it is a completely absurd argument. The corollary to that argument would be that those who adore at the altar of the USA’s 2A are sheep because they cling to their guns.
The nonsensical argument continues. Quite reasonably Aussies don’t think it is reasonable for kids to have active gun shooter drills as a norm. Quite reasonably Aussies don’t think that it should be acceptable for kids going to school thinking they may be a victim of a mass shooting whilst there.
It is an erroneous belief that there is a majority of Aussies who are supportive of the protestors. In fact, it is exactly the opposite. Most Aussies are disgusted with their actions especially at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance.

You mean cling to their Constitutionally protected right to have and use guns. One doesn’t even have to have a gun to cling to the right to do so. Too bad you Aussies will never have the opportunity to cling to that right.
But that’s not why you are sheep. You are sheep because when the government took away your guns you collectively said, thank God, now I don’t have to worry about shooting someone. Baaaaa.
