Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Wednesday night, Sean weighed-in on the media’s overhyped Michael Cohen audio tape; saying the recording reveals no new information and is totally insignificant.
“We’ll start with the one secret audio recording heard around newsrooms all around the country. A private conversation between Michael Cohen and his client Donald Trump. Despite all the breathlessness in the reporting, the tape is ambiguous and reveals no new information,” said Hannity.
“The contents of that tape provide literally no new information, zero significance here. This is something that occurs every single day in every company in the country. Crisis management. In this case, it’s the Trump organization,” he added.
“Over at the destroy-Trump media, this was once again a daily, earth-shattering scandal that’s going to take down the President,” said Sean.
Worse than that- it shows Trump was involved in negotiations on how to scuttle the Mcdougall story- either by using a shell corporation or through direct cash payments. Essentially- a conspiracy to fraud. The tape alone is not enough for a criminal trial. But it is a key piece of evidence when added to bank transfers, secret agreements with the National Enquirer, Cohen’s testimony, etc.
This is actually worse than the John Edwards mistress case- because this time there is a tape recording.
