Greenhouse Gases Are Not Dangerous

I’m not an over-the-top environmentalist or anything … but this seems like it could have really bad repercussions.

The Trump administration on Tuesday proposed repealing the federal government’s bedrock scientific declaration on the dangers of greenhouse gases — a move that would run afoul of decades of research and topple most of the Environmental Protection Agency’s climate regulations.

Ok fine. So this administration has a different take on climate change. But what do they want to do …

Also on Tuesday, EPA proposed scrapping all limits on carbon dioxide pollution from cars and trucks.

Oh.

Undoing the endangerment finding would go a long way toward that goal by shielding the top polluting sectors from regulation, and blocking off any effort to require other industries to reduce their emissions.

Most of EPA’s remaining climate regulations will fall if the endangerment finding goes away, but a few rules may survive.

Now granted, as with most things like this, there was overreach by the Dems in their implementation of regulations and now Cons want to scrap everything. Why can’t we find a middle ground here?

The US environment is probably the cleanest it has ever been.

As for climate change there has always been climate change.

Natural climate change.

Manmade? Not so much.

People like Gore and Kerry have made vast fortunes trying to scare people about “manmade climate change” as they be bop around the planet in their jets.

Even Thunberg is admitting now it’s all a scam.

There is no middle ground with environmentalist nutjobs, they’ve become a radical religion who wants to force their doctrine on the entire globe. Don’t vote these zealots into positions of power they will be responsible for more human death than any war or natural disaster.

We live in a free country so let the weird nicks worship their junk science at the altar of greenhouse gases and leave the rest of us alone. JMO

No. There is no middle ground.

Your merry little band of political idiots don’t get to run screaming full tilt in the direction they want and then scream “Middle ground!!” When they’re voted out.

You want moderation. Govern that way yourselves first as an example.

When did she do that?

We can’t be moderate because the other guys weren’t moderate. Sure, why not.

This is very close to the, “They made us do these bad things.” excuse.

I would prefer middle ground in this situation because it seems like the best approach for the environment and the economy. Unchecked emissions is bad for the environment but good for business. Over regulation is good for the environment but bad for business. Middle ground makes sense here.

“Our zealots are better than your zealots.”

Got any links to you stating that when it was your guys in charge?

No?

Didn’t think so.

You win 100 internet points. Congratulations!

@Steel-W0LF is right about that. Everyone wants moderation after they lose.

Going to assume this, tales from the internet.

Carbon dioxide isn’t pollution, it’s the foundation of our food chain.

Taking CO2 off the EPA’s list of controlled emissions IS middle ground. The EPA is mandated to control harmful emissions. CO2 is not a harmful emission, it is essential to life on this planet. Letting the EPA regulate CO2 emissions made as much sense as letting them regulate Oxygen emissions.

All this health-scare crap…

Three of the 4 original Rolling Stones are still alive and have outlived Richard Simmons. (And even Charlie Watts lived longer than Simmons.)

I think mankind will be just fine.

Then why was the middle ground not sought the first time??
