It’s certainly possible for a president to simultaneously host lavish parties and cut funding to childhood cancer research. Sure!
Brain tumors are the leading cause of pediatric cancer-related death. In August, the Trump administration announced it would stop supporting a federally funded network dedicated to researching these deadly cancers.
Maybe Nancy will open up her freezer full of expensive ice cream to show the poor hungry people what Republicans are denying them with their shutdown, or perhaps all the big Hollywood stars will do an online “food aid” event and donate all the funds they raise to all the hungry trans people in Zimbabwe. You know, like all the rest of the useful stuff Democrats do during the crises they cause.
