Government censorship by proxy

Or perhaps George Orwell. See quote 62.

He certainly said this:

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
https://www.nytimes.com/1972/10/08/archives/the-freedom-of-the-press-orwell.html

No, it isn’t a George Orwell quote, either.

It’s a neo-nazi.

Yes, the “beautiful message” of a neo-nazi whining about how he’s the real victim.

It appears to be a gotcha plant by the manipulators.

I doubt anyone knows the true origin.

Your reading comprehension is awful.

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.–George Orwell, see link above

Most of all that includes the people in power.

Of course, based on modern perversion of language, freedom of speech has been twisted to mean just the opposite–freedom from anything that offends people in power. How Orwellian!

Good news: Gonzalo Lira is free on bail in Ukraine after several weeks in a Ukrainian prison.

Bad news: His trial is tomorrow for voicing illegal opinions. A conviction is virtually guaranteed. Lira faces 5 to 8 years in a labor camp. Given his age and health, that is a likely death sentence.

Vice President Biden famously bragged about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired within hours. The Ukrainian government is even more dependent on the US now. Lira’s arrest and trial have only been possible with the support of the Washington–censorship by proxy.

Here is a link to Lira’s account of recent event that includes a copy of court documents:

The EU has recently enacted a broad internet censorship law with the possibility of massive fines from bureaucrats in Brussels. Content in the US is affected by the law so long as it can be accessed by someone from the EU. For now, the law is limited to a list of very large platforms:

The online platforms affected are Alibaba AliExpress, Amazon Store, Apple AppStore, Booking.com, Facebook, Google Play, Google Maps, Google Shopping, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, X (listed as Twitter), Wikipedia, YouTube, the European clothing retailer Zalando, Bing and Google Search . . .
A firm that does not comply with the law could face a complete ban in Europe or fines running up to 6% of its global revenue.

Last month, X/Twitter said it was on track to generate $3bn (£2.4bn) in revenue. A fine of 6% would be the equivalent of £144m. [$180 million]
Direct Government Censorship Of The Internet Is Here

The law paves the way for election interference and censorship in the US as well as Europe. Expect any news unfavorable to the Biden administration to be scrubbed from the Google searches and Twitter/X postings. Only official narratives approved in Washington and Brussels will be acceptable.

While theoretically a court could eventually overturn the censorship, that may come long after the information is of any value in informing the electorate.

“Probably”

Elon Musk has questioned the imprisonment of Gonzalo Lira with Biden and Zelensky.

My observation is that Biden got a prosecutor fired in a few hours by threatening to withhold a loan. Lira could be on the next plane out of Kiev if the US government demanded his release.

Meanwhile Elon Musk has restored Alex Jones’s account. Jones was a trial balloon for Big Tech’s state-supported censorship campaigns. Is that a step in the right direction?

Lira’s father had these comments today:

“Isn’t it odd that four days later after condemning Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Gonzalo was arrested? Why wasn’t he detained earlier?”

“Did the State Department give Zelensky the green light to put my son in jail?” he questioned.

“My son is a victim of this Biden government and his relation with that puppet Zelensky,” adding: “He is a brave man, telling the truth all along, from day one he predicted what would happen, that Ukraine would never win a war with Russia and that the U.S.A. and the NATO countries would bleed with armaments, support them to kingdom come, but what is the cost now?”

Is telling the uncomfortable truths Lira’s real crime?

Lira has passed while in the custody of the Ukronazis. Untreated double pneumonia.

At any time during his incarceration the US government could have extracted him, so yes Bill, Biden did that.

Yes, Biden bragged about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired within a matter of hours. Lira could have been on the next train out of Kiev with just a call from the State Department.

He would have never been arrested without at least tacit approval of the US government.

If only he had been a basketball player who had brought illegal drugs into the country.
