It means “we the people” need DOGE. 1/20/25 can’t get here fast enough and the no President at the helm like we’ve had for the last 4 years simply led to this DC waste and corruption.
Print some money . . . . and spend it.
Tax (and borrow) some money . . . and spend it.
Yet the eocnomy is doing so badly total spending grew by LESS than that amount of spending.
Maybe it is a good thing to do. (Libs could certainly make that argument.)
Maybe it is a bad thing to do so. (Cons could certainly make that argument.)
But it is never ever ever a sign of a good economy.
Taxation Without Representation in Colonial America was the primary cause of the American Revolution. It led to the American Revolutionary War, and, ultimately, the establishment of the United States of America.
…and now consider that this tax burden created by the corrupt, DC establishment politicians will be laid on the backs of babies that haven’t even been born yet. That was the basis for our revolution (taxation without representation) but obviously, in the almost 250 years of our country’s existence, our politicians haven’t learned ■■■■.
Do you really think the Trump administration is going to reduce government spending? The first Trump administration certainly didn’t. What’s different this time?
Trump was a rookie politician who upon being elected, was screwed by those he chose to surround himself with, plus the opposing side…for the entire time he was in office. He then was judicially assaulted by our weaponized, corrupt Biden Administration for the next four years. He has learned a lot about how our corrupt, DC establishment, unified party works now. IMO…he’ll apply what he’s learned and absolutely combat the swamp. That said, we’ll have to watch going forward but I sure hope what I just posted becomes our nation’s reality.
From what we know of Trump’s first term and his rhetoric now, I expect him to both “combat the swamp” and increase spending like any Democrat would. They’re not mutually exclusive.
Does this mean that you support cuts to SS and Medicare? Or you’re just acknowledging that spending will never be cut significantly without cutting those programs?
Both.
But I would support cutting every thing and every program. by 1%.
(and not from the baselne 1% from current levels.)
I don’t know how to do that with salaries, contracts, and interest on the debt, but you get the idea.
