Good News? Monthly Jobs Report-August

Here comes the predictable parsing.

I used the “ship” analogy referring to the economic downswing Obama inherited…aka-the Great Recession…and you responded to my analogy with

I was DIRECTLY talking about the recession Obama inherited, aka “the sinking ship.”

Maybe this parsing ■■■■■■■■ works on others in real life when you don’t have a direct copy of the worst of the conversation to cite, but your words are here for all to see. Whether you “mentioned” the recession is irrelevant, because that was directly what was being discussed regarding the “sinking ship” during Obama’s first months.

If that’s not what you were referring to, then by all means, clarify. We’re all ears.

And all of this is for what end? To prove that the economy Trump inherited wasn’t that great after all so Trump gets all the credit? To prove the economy was already getting back on track to try to deny Obama any credit?

And then a hannity member came in here and said " Sir, I hope there is a recession, i want the country to fail."

Decoupling should be done regardless the outcome of trade talks. We shouldn’t have all our eggs in one basket.

Good article BTW. Time is our advantage and Trump should take advantage of it.

Keep praying for that economic miracle.

Trump’s policies have prevented me from being able to afford products and services I wanted, and I certainly don’t pray for that to get worse.

When my roof started leaking, from winter storm damage, I wanted to replace the entire roof, which was about 1/3 rubber and 2/3 shingle, to be completely metal. My parents were able to replace their roof, which is similar sq/ft as mine for about $6500. This was before Trump’s election and trade war. It was going to cost me twice that. And multiple contractors told me it was a direct result of the trade war.

I don’t want the prices of goods and services to go up. I want the economy to be strong, and stay strong, and I don’t care who presides over it.

Recognizing that something might happen is not the same as wishing for it to happen. If people here are actively wishing for that “economic miracle” then cite it, otherwise you’re deliberately misrepresenting what people are saying.

Here are the jobs created from January through August from the last five years.

2015 - 1.74 million jobs
2016 - 1.40 million jobs
2017 - 1.48 million jobs
2018 - 1.87 million jobs
2019 - 1.27 million jobs

It’s a shame that the old forum is gone because I can swear you have a different opinion of them now.

Good thing for you it is, swearing like that can end you up in hell.

I was intellectually intimidated, I asked a few questions. Other than that I didn’t post much on economy.

You know WildRose right. He will not admit being wrong. Only delve into minutiae to somehow say he didn’t say something, or just flat out ignore being wrong and move on. I once called out his false claim of US bases in Yemen and to prove me wrong he showed a map of US bases in Bahrain and Qatar. And when I pointed that they were the wrong countries, he wouldnt admit to even saying US had bases in Yemen. There’s no point.

No recession. Good day to be an American.

Another day. Not another recession. Unemployment still down.
No war added.

Hey look another con ignoring, what are now, $1trillion+ deficits.

Good sheeple

I’ve lost track of the items I’ve called him out on and then he refuses to address.

Hurrah America!

Likewise.

One of my favorites was when he pushed a fake quote of Soros bragging about turning in Jews to Nazis.

Deleted. Wrong person.

We have never imported any significant portion of shingles or tar paper other than cedar shakes from Canada with whom we have no trade war.

This story smells.

I think you missed the part where i said I was going to replace the shingle and rubber with metal.

Both of which are produced in the US.
