E-bikes are all over here in the coast mostly kids riding them. It’s becoming a problem, no helmet, kids stacking on them and they have serious zip.
The ones here on the West though are privately owned. I visit NYC fairly regularly and the Citi bikes cause havoc on those streets. Although I believe those are provided by Citi Bank in a collab with Lyft.
Man, and I always dreaded having to buy a new 30 dollar rim from a major wipeout. Those E-bikes are damn expensive.
