the REPUBLICAN gerrymander of congressional districts in Alabama
was beyond all that is sane RACIST.
SCOTUS called them out.
now righties pull the switcharoo and call liberals racists.

The south should have thought about the consequences when they were busy beating, killing and otherwise disentrancing black (and Hispanic) voters pre-1964/1965.
People were literally KILLING to prevent blacks from voting.
A sledgehammer was needed to fix the problem and that sledgehammer was the Voting Rights Act.
The south made their own bed on this issue, now they have to sleep in it.
I can’t spare a give a ■■■■ for any of them.
The south behaved like brutes, they got permanently smacked down.
Perhaps dedicated black and Hispanic districts may not be the best way of getting where we want to be in racial reconciliation.
But the south brought this on themselves and the VRA is not going away, nor should it ever go away. The good of the VRA FAR FAR exceeds the negatives.
And anyways, Republicans get to keep all 9 seats, so they don’t have a ■■■■■■■ thing to be whining about anyway.
