President Donald Trump gave an 11th hour endorsement to GOP New Jersey Senate hopeful Bob Hugin Tuesday, saying the candidate has been “successful all his life” and would be a “Great Senator” for the state.
The Commander-in-Chief posted his last-minute pitch on social media, writing “Bob Hugin, successful all of his life, would be a Great Senator from New Jersey. He has my complete and total Endorsement! Get out and Vote for Bob.”
Recent polling has Hugin closing the gap between himself and incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Menendez.
The President’s comments come just hours after he wrapped up an eleven-day, eleven-city campaign tour touting a growing economy, record-setting unemployment, and his administration’s harsh crackdown on illegal immigration.
