The wife and I watched the Gershwin Award tribute to Elton John and Bernie Taupin last night. There were several very good covers of their songs by various artists, but there was one that was worth the price of admission all by itself … Metallica doing “Funeral For a Freind/Love Lies Bleeding.”

The mostly upper crust audience sat somewhat stunned through the performance and then erupted in joy at it’s conclusion.
