I read this article and wondered if we had a frivolous lawsuit thread on this board. I couldn’t find one, so I started this.
Seriously? Suing the NFL for $100 million for “severe emotional distress and trauma.” Because Shedeur Sanders dropped from first round to fifth round in the draft???

We live in a world where a lady made 600,000 dollars in two days for just being recorded calling a kid the n-word. Nothing is surprising anymore.
In this insane world we live in, where a “squatter” who is stealing the space of a house, has more rights to be there as decided by our government judicial system than the actual owner does…this lawsuit may win.
Well, that’s one spin on the situation.
A go-fund-me (or some such) was created for her legal costs to fight hate-crime charges she faces for calling a kid the n-word.
Hate crime charges are add ons to other crimes. She didn’t do anything illegal. She was a racist piece of garbage, which people latched onto donating as a protest against the Karmelo Anthony situation (which I agree was screwed up that he got so many donations when the situation behind that case isn’t close to settled in either direction).
I was under the impression for years that race issues were generally getting better in America. Even with the setbacks of 2020. I don’t know what any of that ■■■■ is.
The fundraising site had to disable comments due to a flood of nasty racist messages.
Yeah I read some of it. Pretty disgusting stuff.
Every time the story is reposted on any social media (like X or Facebook) it devolves into the exact same thing really fast.
Like it escalates quickly.
