Counterterrorism branch of Paris prosecutor has taken control of investigation into Strasbourg shooting. Raises possibility (but not with certainty) that this was a terrorist attack. https://t.co/6EmsTUqa8j
“The Paris prosecutor’s office said that it had opened a terrorism investigation and that the Paris prosecutor, who handles all terrorism investigations nationwide, was heading to Strasbourg,” adds the Times.
Not wanting to turn this to a gun debate, but we’re are they getting the ak-47’s from. I have heard there is a black market there but are they coming in from the sea or coming from Eastern Europe were guns are more plentiful especially after the Yugoslavia war? That would seem a risky trip smuggling in weapons through the Baltic regions as they would be under heavier scrutiny at border checks.
Same with Sweden with all the grenade attacks, it’s hard to see how they are being smuggled into Sweden when Denmark only has two highways into Sweden.
