Our Founders intended ordinary citizens to keep and bear arms [a contemporary fire arm used by foot soldiers] so they would be ready and able to defend themselves against a despotic government if necessary. The AR-15-semi is a civilian version of the United States military’s M16 and ought to be kept by ordinary citizens to defend against a tyrannical government.

Clearly someone who hasn’t watched Fox News.
See, that’s just it - I despised the Obama presidency as well. In fact, I voted straight Republican from 1992 - 2016, when Trump turned me off to what the Republican party was becoming.
So, as a recovering partisan Republican, I have absolutely no problem saying that both sides are creating division. I just don’t have the same partisan bias that some on this board do any longer. I’m conservative first, and since neither major party represents conservatives any longer I can see things a lot clearer.
It’s pretty sad that this is the level of “debate” on the board now.
