Fewer and fewer Americans want anything to do with serving in the military

Former American citizen, Boris Johnson, should volunteer for the Ukrainian army. They are conscripting practically anyone at this point, even 60-year-old men with no military experience.

Just a different generation and their mindset:

Me and my buddies once reported to people who got off on hurting their own people’s lives.

And folks wonder why recruiting numbers are down across the board. :man_shrugging:

And the struggles continue!

For months, the United States military has been coming to terms with a recruiting crisis of historic proportions. In the 2023 fiscal year, the Department of Defense says the U.S. military missed its goal by about 41,000 recruits—a major hit for the military that has been an all-volunteer force since 1973. So, where’s the disconnect between the U.S. military and Generation Z?

Plus who would want to fight for Biden and company??

In my case, these were all opportunists in Obama’s army. My brigade was specifically sent into a known meat grinder for a deployment, and our then-Division Commander used that as a springboard to catapult himself all the way to becoming the 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

You all know and dislike him for reasons very different than mine.

Yeah i would think serving under Obama would be just as bad or worse.

I talked one friend of mine into getting out of the service under Obama while he could.

Your division commander sounds like a real Turd!

I joined under Dubya, but did my deployments under Obama. Bush had nothing on his bloodlust.

My friend had 2 deployments to Iraq under Obama before i talked him into getting out.

Sort of out. He needed about 3 more years but went into the reserve.

A real question is what are we fighting for?

Caution: Disturbing video in link below.

Aaron Bushnell identified himself in the livestream video as he walked toward the Israeli embassy as “an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force” adding that “I will no longer be complicit in genocide.” He then lit himself ablaze and yelled “FREE PALESTINE!” over and over. He has reportedly died.

These lib elite military leaders don’t give a rats ass about the people under them no more than lib politicians give a rats ass about the people in this country. All that matters to these types of ■■■■■■■■ is power.

Here’s the latest on the current situation:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-army-cutting-force-by-thousands-after-recruitment-failures-leaving-biden-in-a-bad-spot/ar-BB1j0lLj?ocid=msedgntp&pc=LCTS&cvid=c5a8d083f63441898b1625a423525d37&ei=41

A study from 2020, for instance, found that 77 percent of Americans ages 17 to 24 would not qualify to join any of our military branches. The report noted that 11 percent of this group would be disqualified based on their weight alone.

The weight issue has sent the military to create a brand-new program that allows potential recruits to join provisionally as they enter a weight loss training program ahead of boot camp.

The U.S. Army’s Future Soldier Preparatory Course, for one, takes overweight recruits right away if they first spend 90 days to lose enough weight to be sent to basic training.

Despite all these desperate efforts to win over new recruits, three of our four branches suffered missed recruitment goals, Military.com reported. Only the Marines met their goals.

Meanwhile, China’s army consists of roughly 2.2 million soldiers and growing. President Xi Jinping’s military is the fastest growing force in the world and tops America’s military by an incredible 800,000 soldiers.

Sadly, as America’s educational system continues to fail to output students educated enough to pass the military entry tests and as Joe Biden further degrades the military with obscenely woke policies, our safety and security is suffering even as the world continues to devolve into a more dangerous place.

Sec Def Austin’s triple secret hospital fiasco, his abandonment of 84,000 soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen because they objected to the ChiCom virus nick coupled with the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle?
All these on Austin’s watch. He wanted to be a politician instead of a leader.
If I were a young man considering the military I’d say no thanks. Get back to me when there’s someone worth a ■■■■ running things. The “CIC” doesn’t give a rats ass about the military either.

The US Army recently released a notice about recalling retirees to active duty.

Does this amount to a draft of retirees? Or is any recall strictly voluntary?

UTILIZATION OF THE ARMY RETIREE RECALL PROGRAM

An officer is on the hook for life unless he resigns his commission

When I served my contract was for four years active and four years inactive service. I know that during the time of inactive service I could be called back in but I believe that it had to be for a very good reason.

Yes, but the “very good reason” is determined by them.

Very true. When I was in Afghanistan in 2005 the Army brought. 70+ year old dentist with them they recalled. He was retired from the military for 20+ years and retired from his private practice.
