So now that that’s settled, you can back up your assertion with the appropriate quotes.
Do they? How would you know?
From reading social media posts, watching documentaries, reading , listening to podcasts and muslim coworkers.
Its obvious that just like millions of women of the Islamic faith are forced there are plenty of women around the globe who wear it willingly and proudly
Quite the take away on what should be an important statement. Ya brought it straight to bikinis ![]()
First, you can rule out any who live in Muslim dominated countries, because they can’t be said to wear it willingly if they will be punished if they do not.
Now, what happens in most non Muslim countries if she comes home and tells hubby she has decided not to continue to wear traditional clothes? What percent of those homes will be hubby saying, yes dear, because women can do as they want?
And plenty who are forced to wear it and raped or killed if they don’t comply. What do you Muslim friends say about that?
Based on what I know they condemn it.
As i said if a women chooses to wear it willingly thats their choice but being forced to wear it absolutely not.
Despite Islam’s laundry list of problems, most Muslims are really good people and they don’t live like that.
I have numerous muslim friends from before I left the States that wore them quite willingly. There were multiple women on our block who wore them as part of being “Dressed up” regularly. They were not forced to do so.
There is a different between wearing them willingly because they are expected to and they want to conform, and wearing them willingly because that is what they want to wear.
Free the oppressed Iranian People.
I remember seeing some women wearing these in the Deira Perfume Souk in Dubai. Could not take a photo because the male escort said that the women wearing them were his property. He was very adamant not to stare that the women he was escorting. I gave a sideways glance and was not staring.
The metal-looking mask that you see on her face is called BATTOULAH. I have a lot of stories I could share about some of my experiences in several of the countries I have been associated with.
Altair1013, many of other liberal progressive brothers and sisters here have no clue what goes on over there. All I can say is I hope that the oppressed Iranians will be free and can overturn the new Ayatollah.
I have to agree there are many more good muslims than bad muslims here is the USA and in other areas of the world.
It’s a matter of magnitude. There are about 2 billion Muslims in the world. If only 1% of them are bad (and it’s very likely that the percentage is much greater than that) there are 20 million bad Muslims in the world.
(math corrected)
I’d say it’s likely about 10% are easily radicalized. 1% are currently actively radicalized. That’s just me spouting off but it seems logical.
Well, the “really good people” don’t really stand up against the oppressors. In fact, all of the really good people in government seem to have taken the side of the Mullahs and mass murderers in Iran.
Yes, but I have seen estimates higher than that. And one does not have to be the person doing the killing to be “bad.”
Samm….. what’s 1% of 2 billion?
