As we all know, Feb 1, is World Hijab day. Where the world is supposed to unite and celebrate the most recognizable form of subjugation and oppression of women. Iran, the country who tortures, and executes women and girls for the crime of not wearing a Hijab has been decapitated. It’s time for the people of Iran to rise up and take control. Make Feb 28 WORLD NO HIJAB DAY.
And may we all live to see bikinis on Persian beaches again!

IMO I think it’s important we parse the difference between the hijab and the burqa. They are two different things.
Frankly, on a pretty Arab girl, the hijab is actually kind of cute. It doesn’t cover your face.
The Burqa is the problematic one. Since it covers your entire face with just a slit for the eyes.
I have mixed feelings on both. But I feel the burqa in particular is anti small r republican and I wouldn’t lose any sleep if it was banned. But the hijab, so long as it’s voluntary, is fine and actually kind of cute on some girls.

Having issues with elements of Islam does not make you an islamaphobe. Frankly the way women are viewed in the Quran and the Hadith is frankly medieval and incompatible with modern western culture.
Which is why frankly I’m mixed on the whole burqa thing in particular. Frankly, I wouldn’t lose any sleep if it was banned. I’m ok with the hijab because it doesn’t deperson the woman wearing it like the burqa does.
