Far-Right GOP Lawmaker's Question About Republicans Backfires Spectacularly

The bill was essentially a Ukraine bill. Israel was a minor portion. Border security even less.

It is dishonest to call it a border bill. Period.

There is no valid “still” here.

If that were the case there is no reason to withhold it.

Of course there is!

Why would Tucker release something that goes against his ratings delivering narrative that J6 was an inside job and really, not a big deal? Why would the GOP release something that shows how violent and unhnged Trump supporters were that day? How would that help them?

Sure there is.

Regardless of my mischaracterization, instead of debating and voting on aid to Ukraine, Israel and Border funding, the GOP led house went home for vacation.

Why would they do that if they really cared about any of these three things?

That is not just a Border Security bill like you claimed.

Because if they do it their way, Dems would torpedo it, and even if it passed, Biden would veto it.

So they rejected bidens bill because it gives 63.3 billion to the Ukraine and a paltry 7.6 billion for border security at home. The U.S. receives 12% of what is given to the Ukraine. Darn right they rejected it and the should have. Right there you see the biden doctrine in full effort. American people last.
Should be the other way around. 63.3 for the US and maybe 7.6 for the Ukraine. Maybe.

You tell ‘em Congressman!
The objective of all of them regardless of which side of the aisle they sit on. Getting their blowhard asses re-elected.

IMHO The less done in Washington, the better.

Fair enough. I’ll rephrase -

Why didn’t the GOP led house vote on a bill that included Ukraine and Israel aid as well as signifigant funding for boarder protection instead of going home for vacation if they are so concerned about border security?

So then, they won’t be able to do it 100% there way, will they? If they care about it, they will have to negotiate and compromise.

Can they do that while on vacation?

morgan he's right

I’ll remind you that the democrats control 2 of the 3 components required to pass a bill into law.

If they care about border security, they will have to negotiate and compromise with the party that controls the other two.

Instead of doing that, they left for vacation, which suggests to me, they don’t really care about border security all that much.

It didn’t backfire.

Bad bill.

$61B for Ukraine.

Ukraine has what to do with the US border?

Um. 12% is not compromising. It is surrendering. Talk about not wanting to compromise. Leftists only compromise is to do it their way. A lot like spoiled children in that way.

Good.

Not much.

If the border is the emergency they claim it is, they will have to negotiate and compromise to get funding passed for it.

Instead they went home.

Seems to me it’s not the crises they claim.
