Senator Kamala Harris publicly defended Stacey Abrams recent assertions regarding the 2018 midterm elections over the weekend; saying she “would be the governor of Georgia” without widespread voter suppression.

“Let’s say this loud and clear — without voter suppression, @StaceyAbrams would be the governor of Georgia, @AndrewGillum is the governor of Florida. So the truth is we need a new Voting Rights Act,” she posted on social media.
