I have zero interest in defending Harris, but it’s possible that this is unintentional. My own mother unwittingly picks up accents wherever she goes, to the point where she once sounded like she’d flown in from Dublin after hanging out with an Irish friend.

Way back when I spent a month in Italy. When I came home I was watching the closing arguments in the O.J. trail. Johnnie Cochran was giving his closing argument. And he said; “If it doesn’t fit you must acquit” But since I was in Italy I heard; “If it doesn’t fit you musta quit”. And I said to my wife; “Quit what”?
It was all very strange. .
So it’s like when Kamala lived in Detroit? Or when she did her southern accent when she spoke in Atlanta?
Sounds more like a weak willed person who is trying to blend in with the crowd to be accepted.

I have no idea about Harris. You would have to ask her. All I know is that my wife says my Yorkshire accent becomes more broad when I am back home or when my daughters are here in person. Its not something I do consciously nor is it something I was aware of until the missus pointed it out.
Yes but that is an accent you had at one point in your life. It wasn’t manufactured.
