Out of curiosity, are any of these people citizens? I read elsewhere, and I can’t remember the source, that a lot of Iranians that have been in our country since the 80s and ARE citizens are “under watch”. There are over half a million naturalized Iranians living in the US. Hope he doesn’t pull a Roosevelt.

I’m confused here. Are these guys plants from the current revolutionary regime or where they folks who were out of the country when the Revolution of 1979 happened and smartly said “I’m gonna sit my ass right here instead of going back to that nonsense.” The politics between those two groups are very different.

Sure, no one should be allowed to stay if they overstay. If there is an appeals process they should be entitled to that.
My brother got kicked out in the 90s for overstaying, he was working in a bar, they came in, picked him up and two days later was back home.
