That cork hasn’t bobbed once

Still nothing?

What happened @PurpnGold and @JayJay?

One of the principles of this whole philosophy is that people are either oppressed or oppressors, whether they realize it or not.

And that if the oppressed can just be made conscious of that fact, they would revolt in some manner or other. The revolt would then lead to the establishing of a new and better society.

Marcuse did a good job of describing how the oppressed are kept unconscious of their oppression. He blamed it mostly on capitalism.

That principle is one of the things that makes this so evil. You’re miserable, even if you think you’re happy. You’re not allowed to be happy.

And be teaching children this crap, we are stealing from them.

Liberalism tells us each of us decides what makes us happy and whether we are or not. This other tells us if we think we’re happy, we’re really miserable but too stupid to realize it.

When you stop and think about it, that’s a pretty horrible thing to convince a person of, much less a child. It’s evil.

Thomas Sowell on culture.

Remember “CRT is not Marxist”?

Richard Delgado - the guy who wrote “THE TEXT!”

So we gathered at that convent for two and a half days, around atable in an austere room with stained glass windows and crucifixes here andthere-an odd place for a bunch of Marxists-and worked out a set ofprinciples. Then we went our separate ways. Most of us who were there havegone on to become prominent critical race theorists, including Kim Crenshaw, who spoke at the Iowa conference, as well as Mani Matsuda and CharlesLawrence, who both are here in spirit. Derrick Bell, who was doing criticalrace theory long before it had a name, was at the Madison workshop and hasbeen something of an intellectual godfather for the movement. So we were offand running.

Neo-Marxist is more accurate.

Weasel words which come down to meaning exactly what Fox said.

It seems that these left groups like to let CRT leak out in their positions pushing it but then when confronted deny it is anything but a concept held at the highest academic levels.
Fine. Then it is also false to see the repeated statement that Texas has banned CRT. Not once does the statute often referred to mention that term. It merely says things like valuing individual responsibility and work will not be disparaged, people will not be made to feel responsible for others or blamed because of their skin color etc. Nor will teachers who wish to discuss current events prohibit opinions different from their own…and a series of other actions that basically is a non discrimination law.
Perhaps that is a way to handle how these things are treated…but let’s not push CRT and then deny it exists. That in fact is a recurring treatment by CRT supporters.

 me some AOC truth!

“I think they’re upset about the fact that a lot of our developments recently, whether it’s the re-emergence of grassroots movements in the last four to five years in a way that we haven’t seen in a very long time and the challenge of corporate power in the United States and increased class consciousness and racial consciousness in this country is seriously disrupting the status quo of American politics,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

That ol’ time critical consciousness! Gimme that ol’ time critical consciousness! It’s good enough for me!

Europe is known for falling for dictators and their governing ideology, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Marx, Lenin, the list goes on & on and they dragged the world into two wars over it and if not for the United States they would have lost to those depots.

I never heard of this guy before so thanks for the heads up and I’ll check it out but I wouldn’t shrug off Marxism and I would recommend reading Mark Levin’s new book American Marxism where he outlines how it’s taking hold in this country, different from the Euro version but with the same dystopian outcome.

Rome lasted 1000 years or so before it fell, but at the trajectory the United States is going we may not make it to 250 years before we fall flat as the Dems are determined to build us back to authoritarian and ancient times.

Meanwhile China is building forward and are currently testing super/hyper sonic nuclear war head missiles while we are counting genders & windmills.

Celebrating increased racial consciousness seems like an odd stance for people who believe race is a social construct. Let’s get behind this social construct and root for our side.
Individualism would be the more logical philosophy, assuming race to be a social construct.

I think we can all agree to add medical to our list of culture generators.

The development of a radical political consciousness among the masses is conceivable only if and when the economic stability and the social cohesion of the system begin to weaken. It was the traditional role of the Marxist-Leninist party to prepare the ground for this development. The stabilizing and integrating power of advanced capitalism, and the requirements of “peaceful coexistence,” forced this party to “parliamentarize” itself, to integrate itself into the bourgeois-democratic process, and to concentrate on economic demands, thereby inhibiting rather than promoting the growth of a radical political consciousness. Where the latter broke through the party and trade union apparatus, it happened under the impact of “outside” forces – mainly from among the intelligentsia; the apparatus only followed suit when the movement gained momentum, and in order to regain control of it.

The dry rot in civilization … as a matter of intent.

All aspects of Cultural Marxism (Critical Theory) including the Left’s current favorite nitwittery of Critical Race Theory (Marxist racism) are aimed at destroying, not creating.

They’ve been convinced (indoctrinated) of magical thinking, that all they need to do is tear what is down and poof the utopia will appear. They don’t even have to be actual Marxists to do this, all they’ve got to be is useful idiots in the proper sense that Stalin used the term of them.
