The visit, in my opinion, was nothing more than an attempt to distract from Trumpās impending impeachment. This is the same person who couldnāt be bother to visit a USA cemetery in France because it was raining.
you know who really appreciated this visit - the troops.

One an accept there needs to be secrecy for security reasons. One should never accept that it is to score political points.

When Presidents visit a war zone, security protocols demand the trip be kept a secret until heās in Air Force One on the return trip.
Says so right in the story.
So not sure why this is a thread. When previous Presidents went to the war zones, the same protocols were in effect.
