Former Vice President and climate-change crusader Al Gore threw his full support behind incoming Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ ‘Green New Deal’ proposal Wednesday; saying the initiative would “create jobs” and promote “sustainable solutions.”
“About to bring our 8th annual #24HoursofReality to a close with my strong support for a #GreenNewDeal, which will create jobs, invest in the right sustainable solutions & protect the health of those most vulnerable,” tweeted Gore.
The former Vice President’s comments come as nationwide demonstrations sweep France in protest of the government’s proposed ‘fuel tax’ to fight Climate change.
